What You Can Rent Near Shinjuku for $530 a Month or Less

What’s better than living near Shinjuku? Living near Shinjuku without paying an arm and a leg.

In this installment of the “What can you rent in Tokyo” series, we feature budget apartments within two to five stops of Shinjuku, with a total monthly cost of $530 (¥60,000) or much less. The examples below are all long-term rentals. None of them require key money and some of them don’t even require a deposit. When budgeting for move-in costs, always remember to account for the deposit, agency fee, and sometimes key money.
