Koichiro Ito
ITO International tax & Accounting Office

Mr. Ito received his Master of Science degree from the Faculty of Engineering at the Graduate School of Kyoto University in 1997. From 1997 to 2004, he worked at Goldman Sachs in Tokyo, where he was engaged in the equity derivatives structuring section of the Equity Division to plan and develop various equity related financial products for financial institutions and high net worth individual clients. From 2005 to 2011, he worked at the tax practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tokyo, where he offered tax consulting services to clients in the financial industry, including foreign-based banks, securities companies, private equity funds and real estate funds. The services included consultation on international taxation, structuring of investment schemes, financial modeling and analysis, and consultation on transfer pricing issues. He also offered tax compliance services such as tax return/report preparation for clients and handling/negotiation of tax audits held by Japanese tax authorities. In May 2011, he established ITO International Tax & Accounting Office to provide tax and accounting services, specializing in international taxation for both clients in Japan and overseas. He is a certified public accountant in Japan and a licensed tax accountant and is fluent in Japanese (his native language) and English.
